Many churches struggle to draw people to come to their events.
If you have a clear call-to-action on your event advertisements you’ll see more people responding to attend. Below I have 3 tips to help you get better with your calls-to-action.
Tip #1
It’s a basic idea, but many churches miss it. Determine a specific action that you want people to take if they are interested in your event.
- Do you want people to go to the website?
- Do you want them to sign up in the lobby?
- Do people need to just show up?
Make sure your promotions have a clear next step that people can take and highlight this step on your promotions. Make it clear. This should stand out on your flyer, screen, video, ad, banner, announcement, and any other form of advertisement you use.
Tip #2
A good next step for all major events is to direct people to a landing page on your website that unpacks the benefits they can expect from attending the event. A landing page is a page on your website that has specific information about the event.
This page should answer any questions your prospects might have and provide the details that they need to know. Include some great pictures and/or graphics that will help connect them emotionally with the event such as smiling faces of people they can relate with to show a “happy result.”
Tip #3
You can run ads on Facebook to target people in your church and in the community. The ad would then point people to your event landing page which will have all the event details they will need to know. Combining Facebook ads and a landing page is a great way to increase your reach at a low cost.
