We focus on church planting and what it takes to establish a strong brand with a tight budget. Jarod Smith is our guest who is planting a church in the Nashville, Tennessee area and he talks about the early stages of establishing a brand in a community. He unpacks the importance of getting this right so people are attracted to the new church both to support it and to be a part of it.
Show Notes:
• Jarod shares the journey that resulted in him starting a church plant in the Nashville area
• Jarod and Jennifer are going to Nashville, Tennessee because it is one of the fastest-growing areas in the country
• The biggest challenge Jarod is facing early on with the church plant is making the vision plain for people to see
• The passion must be communicated clearly so people are able to support the vision
• The logo was the starting point that helped explain the vision in a tangible way so others can see it
• A video answering the question “why us, why now” has been effective to share the vision over and over again
• The printed brochure has been effective to signify something significant
• We created 4 pieces to get New Tribe started with promotions: logo, video, brochure, website
• The preparation to communicate the vision is an act of worship
• The Bible talks about Moses getting help from an artisan to help him establish a good representation of God with the tabernacle
• God is intentional about how he communicates and uses symbolism, we should too
