Church Brand Guide Kansas City

This week we interview Keegan Walsh of Living Hope Church in Chicago, Illinois. He lifts the lid on the job of a talented church staff media designer who also is the Student Pastor. Keegan gives tips on how he is able to get it all done and shares how he established a brand for the church in the Chicago area.

Show Notes:

Keegan talks about rebranding a church that has been around for almost 70 years and how to keep the designs relevant to the younger generation. He shares the tension and how his church is able to make it work so they can reach people in their community.

We discuss what Keegan’s passion is for working on a church staff. He shares the reward he receives when working to help other people experience life changes.
Keegan shares tips on getting things down with the media. He talks about some resources which allow him to use shortcuts to get projects done quickly.
There is a discussion about how to design for multiple departments within a church. There is a challenge to create graphics that appeal to different audiences while still keeping in line with the church’s overall brand.
We discuss baptism videos as one of the most effective things Keegan’s church does to impact people. Keegan talks about the process of creating a baptism video.
Keegan talks about how he is able to use project management tools in order to set up projects for the future. The result is a higher quality of work and less stress for the staff. The tool his team uses is Asana and they are thrilled with the benefits of being able to plan ahead.
