Your church is the guide to the story of your audience
Everyone has something that they are working toward or trying to become. The church can be the guide to the solution. So who can the church help people get where they need to go with a simple plan? It starts with knowing your vision.
What is your church about?
What is the end goal for your church? What is the effect you hope to have on the people who attend your church? Where are you trying to lead them?
Who is your audience?
The better you understand your target audience, the more you will understand their needs, their complaints, their weaknesses, their history, their desires, their motivators, their likes and their dislikes. This allows you to meet with people where they are and refine how you communicate to that audience.
What’s the guide?
Knowing end goal and the people you hope to guide to that end goal allows you to then create the journey. This should be a clear and simple path that you can take people on. If the end goal is to make disciples. What’s the first thing they need to do? The second? The third? Is that path obvious to everyone? Is it made to be as easy and convenient as possible? How do you measure success? Are you measuring that success? Are their ways that work better than others?
As you create and refine your guide it is time to make it a part of your church. Bring your core team through it and get their feedback. Then start rolling it out to the church.
