Best church logo design examples

Church logo resource that produces excellent brands.

A great church logo design will get you noticed. It relates to people in your community and creates a recognizable impression. You must invest in a well-designed logo, so your marketing is more effective.

The logo is the tip of the iceberg when building a brand. It has to be right so you can put it on everything from signs, to printed materials, to digital media.

Most churches have a volunteer that knows how to use Photoshop put something together. This approach leads to an inward-focused design that may not be useable on all media. The logo is not relatable to the audience you are trying to reach, so the church continues to be ignored.

You need to invest in having an expert design your logo. It will be well worth it.

What if you can have a design that is just right to resonate with your community. The way I say it is that you should like it, but they (your audience) should love it. This approach of designing a logo that your clients love is how I create an effective church logo.

The logo needs to be as simple as you can make it.

The challenge for the designer is to take away as much as possible. The more simple, the more sticky it is. Think of the iconic Nike Swoosh logo or the Mcdonald’s golden arches.

The design needs to look good in any application.

The logo must work on all kinds of media in full color or just one color. A professional designer understands that logos go on monument signs that are the size of a billboard, and it will do on a social media profile image that is the size of a postage stamp.

Church Logos Resource

I have created a great resource for my clients to help me understand their preferences while still allowing me to serve as the expert to design a logo that reaches their audience. It is a landing page with over 100 church logos for clients to look over and tell me what their favorite designs are.

The designs are categorized into three buckets: classic, modern, and trendy. My client’s description of their top 5 logos gives me as a designer the direction I need to move in so they like it.
