Example of a brand designed for a church planter

Vibrant Church Logo Design

Church Brand Guide developed a brand for Vibrant Church that raised over $450,000 before launch day.

Church planters struggle to get past their first year of existence because they cannot build the church fast enough to sustain it. Typically, a church will fail in its first year.

Like most church planters, Pastor Brandon Sereg was determined to launch a church that would not only survive but last for decades as a pillar in the community.

Brandon Sereg had a compelling vision given to him by God for Broward County, Florida, to see people live with purpose.

He was excited and eager to get people on his team so they could go on the journey to build God’s Kingdom together.

The Problems

Brandon did not have the expertise to create the right branding and marketing to make people aware of the new church.

Brandon needed more money. Establishing a trusted brand with a well-designed logo, website, property signs, and running ads costs money.

The church also needs a facility to meet in, a sound system, projector, lighting, and other costly equipment.

Pastor Brandon felt overwhelmed with all that needed to be done to start a new church.

He worked hard to pull together the venue, meet with people, purchase equipment, and ensure he promoted the new church.

He was worried that the church would fail, and he would join the statistic as another failed church planter.

Church Planting Strategy

The ARC, Association of Related Churches, is an organization that specializes in launching new churches successfully.

They found that a church plant needed to launch big, so they had as many people at their first service as possible.

Over the next 12 weeks, the first-day attendance will dwindle to half. If that number is above 100 people, the church will survive because it has the resources it needs to grow.

Transformation

Church Brand Guide worked with Pastor Brandon to create a brand strategy to position the church as a solution to people’s problems.

The visual identity was designed around this strategy to establish a cohesive feel that built trust.

This messaging resulted in the “Live a better story” tagline for Vibrant Church, which connects with the community.

Get a Guide

Brandon was trying to figure everything out on his own. He looked at what other churches were doing with their branding and tried to copy it, but it felt disjointed. Brandon needed a cohesive visual identity so it would all point back to his vision.

He got the Church Brand Guide to help him get it right.

He was not planning on spending enough resources to establish the brand, so the church would not look trustworthy.

Most church leaders make the mistake of not presenting a quality brand, but People judge you by what they see.

Church Brand Guide presented the church well in critical areas like the logo, website, and property signs.

Brandon shared his vision and passion with potential donors, hoping that it would compel them to give.

This approach works to get small donations from individuals, but you need to present your process to get large contributions from bigger organizations.

Once Brandon had this in place, he got sizeable donations from other churches, networks, and businesses.

Count the Cost

With our help, Brandon created a relatable message that people trusted.

We made a brand strategy that allowed him to present his process clearly and consistently. This clarity defeated confusion and resulted in a large number of donations.

Hiring a good consultant to create a unique plan will cost about $5000.

Church Brand Guide created a simple logo that expressed the church’s unique vision. It was a vector-based design that allowed the logo to look great in every kind of medium.

A seasoned designer will charge over $1500 for a great logo design.

A website was created to present Brandon’s vision and provide details on how to contribute.

The website established a compelling message for the city and gave the next steps. It used video, photos, and words to cut through the noise and build trust.

Brandon could share his vision using the visuals we created for him. They were consistent with his message, allowing people to see that he had a well-thought-out plan.

Before launching the church, the branding strategy helped Brandon raise over $450,000 of support from individuals, other churches, and businesses.

A strategic website for a church plant will cost upwards of $4000.

We created other graphic elements, such as banners, signs, and a magazine, to help Brandon communicate his vision.

The environment helped people feel like the church was trustworthy when they came for their first visit, so they gave it a chance.

Church Brand Guide offers a church planting package to get the right things established for your brand and save on costs.

The Results

Vibrant Church launched with 387 people on the first day. It is now a thriving church in South Florida.

People reported finding the church by searching for “church near me” on Google. They see the church website and decide to come for their first visit.

With the branding and marketing in place, Vibrant Church is not just surviving; it has momentum and is growing.
